About
The Active Youth Network is an online community of youth sports websites that generate revenue from advertising sales. The company then shares 50% of the revenues with the network's member clubs and schools to provide financial support. The company's mission is to keep kids active in youth sports by offsetting some of the growing expenses to clubs, schools and ultimately families.
Youth sports programs are under financial stress from a soft economy, budget cutbacks and rising expenses for equipment, travel, field and rink time, not to mention equipment.
AYN has identified 19 youth sports categories with a potential of 165,000 websites and 65 million participants. Individually these websites lack the audience to deliver much value to advertisers but as a network AYN offers a very desirable audience.
