After 40 years on Main Street, seven years on Laurel Street and six years on Chestnut Street, the Andrews Journal is back downtown. In July 2011, the Journal moved to 995 Main St., in the Nantahala Suite of the Valleytown Corner Ballroom at the corner of Locust and Main streets.
The Journal is published weekly on Thursdays, serving the communities of Andrews, Marble, Nantahala and Topton while giving special attention to schools, town and county meetings, sports, faith and family, business, entertainment, churches, clubs and community events. Local news often is submitted by members of the community.
The deadline for news is noon Tuesday for that Thursday’s edition. Make sure to include a name and phone number on each submission. The deadline for classified and display advertising also is noon Tuesday.
Subscriptions to Andrews Journal are $18 per year in Cherokee, Clay and Graham counties; $32 for out-of-county and out-of-state readers.
