    Welcome Y’all! I’m Paula, the recipe developer, food stylist, food photographer, writer, editor, and chief dishwasher behind the blog. I’m married to my college sweetie, and Mamma to THREE very active kids (and one fur baby named Charlie). We dream about living around the world but currently our mortgage is in North Carolina. I started my blog in 2009 as a place to share my recipes with my friends and family. To be honest, I almost fainted the first time I received a comment from a NON family member. I never dreamed it would turn into a full time job that I ADORE as well as being featured on sites such as: SAVEUR, CNN’s EATOCRACY, THE COOKING CHANNEL, and THE WASHINGTON POST just to name a few. As well as being a contributing writer on sites such as: PAULA DEEN, BETTY CROCKER, DISNEY’S BABBLE, and THE MUSHROOM CHANNEL. It’s been an exciting journey and I am continuing to learn (and occasionally burn things) every day. Which brings me to tell you that I’m NOT a professional chef, no, I am just someone who loves to cook – A LOT. I’m passionate about food. From how it’s grown, to the people who grow it (thank a farmer), to how to it’s processed, how to properly store it (did I mention I’m a food nerd), to different cooking techniques. I love ALL kinds of foods (and cook all types of foods) but Italian food will always be THE ONE for me. I lived in Northern Italy growing up (yes I speak Italian). It’s where I learned to appreciate food and cooking. Italian food is about simple, quality ingredients that are combined with love. Today the blog has evolved to share more than my beloved Italian food. You can find recipes in the TASTE section from all around, places and faces that I’ve visited in my TRAVEL section (I’m not always in the kitchen) and things like: gardening, DIY crafts, home improvements and more in the (catch all) KITCHEN SINK tab.
