Who is Lauren Sebastian?
Hi! I’m Lauren Sebastian, Editor and Creator of BigBlondeHair.com. I started BBH about 6 years ago in hopes that I could fund my pricey hair extension habit— hence the blog name— after seeing an article on a girl who was making a living blogging. I eventually gravitated towards Real Housewives and Reality TV Fashion after seeing that no one was doing extensive coverage of a topic that was highly in demand!Snake Print Maternity Top
Prior to blogging, my career background in is women’s contemporary apparel wholesale—I was the girl who sold the clothes to the buyers at boutiques and department stores—which was great experience to build on in terms of creating a successful fashion blog.
On a more personal level, I’m a mom to a a very fashionable, and funny, 6-year-old boy and have been married to my husband for 7+ years. We recently found out we are expecting our second child, which has lead me to a bit of maternity coverage on the blog!
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit and have lived in Chicago, and the Chicago area, for the past 10 years. I love the city and to me Chicago is one of the best! It inspires everything from my style to my everyday life. To me, there is really no better place than a big city.
I’m proud to say that over the past 6 years —with the help of my amazing readers who I am so thankful for— I’ve developed Big Blonde Hair into one of the world’s top blogs and have worked with a laundry list of amazing brands! I love my job and it’s also become a great outlet to highlight my personal style and fashion, in addition to celebrity favorites.
