For more than 30 years Bird Watcher's Digest has been entertaining and informing its readers with excellent content. Initially this was through the company's flagship bimonthly print magazine of the same name. During the past two decades BWD has "fledged" dozens of additional content channels and modes of communication, including a 14-title series of backyard booklets, several print newsletters, full-length books, a high-traffic website birdwatchersdigest.com, an award-winning digital edition called eBWD, the BirdWire e-newsletter, a popular blog (Bill of the Birds), and podcast with a worldwide audience ("This Birding Life"), as well as wildly popular events such as The Midwest Birding Symposium (www.midwestbirding.org) and target communications for BWD's advertisers and marketing partners, including hosted micro-sites, e-blasts, direct mail, and videos.
