    For almost 100 years, The Branson Tri-Lakes News is a combination of the Branson Daily News, the Branson Beacon, White River Leader, the Southwest Missourian and the Taney County Republican. The Branson Tri-Lakes News is the local newspaper covering Branson, Taney County and Stone County in Missouri, and traces its roots to the oldest publications in Taney County. One of these newspapers, The Taney County Republican, began publishing in 1895. In 1992, the Taney County Republican merged with the Branson Beacon and White River Leader and Southwest Missourian to form the Branson Tri-Lakes Daily News, later shortened to the Branson Daily News. It retained that name until it stopped being a daily newspaper in 2009. Since 2009, it has been printed twice a week, on Wednesday and Saturday, but previously was published five times a week. The newspaper features original story content and photos centered around local happenings in news, sports, entertainment, politics and business. Editions also regularly include opinion, faith and outdoors sections.
