I live in Arizona with my sassy five year old daughter and super amazing husband. Hi, I’m Heather. I’m a Phoenix based lifestyle blogger living in Arizona with my five year old daughter and husband. Brie Brie Blooms started shortly after my daughter was born. I always loved arts and crafts but it wasn’t until I was a new stay at home mom that I was able to really devote any genuine time to fostering my creativity. I grew up in a small mining town and my childhood summers were spent at a local craft store with my best friend. We beaded necklaces and painted pottery all day, every summer day. I grew up, sold all my beading and crafting supplies at a yard sale, and went off to college. My college background is not at all related to art. I studied justice and genuinely believed I would never lose my quirky interest in the study of criminal psychology. I still love to watch true crime shows but I can never again see myself wanting to work with disturbed criminals. I started making cute clothes and hair accessories for my daughter. Friends saw the products and started asking for replicas. Eventually I was making hair clips for everyone I knew with a little girl. I slowly started adding to my inventory and decided I was making enough to start a legitimate business. Jump ahead a few years and I decided my passion really isn’t in making pretty hair clips for babies, it’s about sharing everything in my life that started with a baby. My daughter has been crafting with me since she was big enough to grip a crayon. Having a little assistant with me in my office has kept me focused on kids crafts. My daughter and I now go to school everyday together. She is in preschool and I am teaching in a classroom. Getting to create with kiddos every single day is perfect for me. I start new projects daily and love having the opportunity to share them here. Brie Brie Blooms is definitely a family endeavor.
