Champion Newspapers publishes two community newspapers serving the cities of Chino and Chino Hills in Southern California.

The Chino Champion and Chino Hills Champion are delivered weekly on Saturday mornings (except Thanksgiving Week when it's delivered on Thursday) to over 90% of single family homes in the Chino Valley.

The Champion was founded in 1887 by Richard Gird, the founder of the City of Chino.

The Chino Champion and the Chino Hills Champion are delivered by carriers and by mail to subscribers and others reaching over 90% of ChinoValley homes every Saturday morning. Copies are also available for sale at newsstands and stores throughout the ChinoValley. Founded on November 11, 1887 by Richard Gird (also the founder of the City of Chino), the Champion is a complete award winning “NEWS” paper. It’s not an advertising shopper or a non-subscriber product of another newspaper. We publish all the LOCAL news you would expect to find in a community newspaper including (breaking) News, Sports, Entertainment, People, Business, Opinion, Obituaries, Religion, Schools, feature stories about local personalities and local advertising. The Champion is recognized as a legally adjudicated newspaper of general circulation publishing legal notices for the cities of Chino and Chino Hills, the County of San Bernardino, the ChinoValleyUnifiedSchool District and for local businesses (County Court Decree Number 73453, issued August 5, 1952). Total combined full-run net circulation for both our newspapers is 41,017 (CAC Pub Stmt, Q4 2015). Estimated weekly adult audience in print and online exceeds 90,000 readers. The Champion is the oldest continuously operated business in the city of Chino.
