More About Me and My Comeback
After successfully losing over 50 post-baby pounds and rebounding from post-partum depression twice, I became a successful blogger and personal trainer. Unfortunately, after an injury in late 2011, my anxiety and depression returned. I gained 20 pounds, quit training and blogging. I kept myself completely sheltered for nearly a year. I felt ashamed that I could not “make” myself better. Luckily, with the help of a wonderful doctor and therapist, I am back on the right path toward health and happiness.

I created Comeback Momma to share information about the things that help me be the best women, wife, and mother I can be. My goal is to inspire other women to constantly strive to find the best within themselves. Besides blogging, I enjoy travel, meeting new people, hiking, movies, photography, making my kids laugh, and my morning cup of tea.

My Comeback Goals
Family
No matter what, family comes first. When I was training clients, my family time was too limited. I decided to focus on blogging so that I can be home and more available to my family. I might drive my kids a little nuts, but I know deep down they appreciate that mom’s more available to them.

Travel
I want to be sure my kids understand that there is so much to see and do beyond our backyard. We explore local sites in New England, adventures around the US and exciting destinations beyond our borders. I’m also a contributor at TravelingMom.com so check out my posts there to get a sense of some of our most recent travel experiences.

Fitness
I’m learning to accept my body for its amazing abilities as well as its flaws. For a while, I was really caught up with being super fit. This lifestyle is fine for some, but it became too overwhelming for me. Being healthy is what matters most. I no longer beat myself up if I don’t workout every day. It’s all about balance.

Food
I’m having fun exploring healthy recipes and actually making them myself. I really don’t like cooking, but creating healthy meals and sharing them with my family, and my readers, is a fun part of my comeback.
