The Chronicle echoes the motto of its parent company, Community Newspapers, Inc.: "Newspapers get things done!" Meet the Staff Mike Henry Publisher Mike Henry is the Crossroads Chronicle’s publisher. He has been with CNI, our parent company, since 1996. He came to Cashiers from the Tribune & Georgian in St. Marys, Ga., where he served as marketing director. He has many years of experience in marketing management with several magazines and newspapers, and he holds a degree in journalism from the University of Georgia. Mike and his wife, Sarah, have two children: a son, Taylor, who lives in Athens, Ga. with his wife Shaina and son Micah, and a daughter, Jordan, who lives in San Fransisco with her husband Grayson and dog Oliver. Kelly Donaldson Editor Kelly, who serves as the editor of the Chronicle, came to Cashiers from Gainesville, Ga., in May of 2007. Kelly worked as sports editor for The Times, a daily newspaper, from March of 2005 to October of 2006. Kelly was the sports editor of The News Herald, also a daily newspaper, in Morganton, N.C. from March of 2004 until March of 2005. He was sports editor of The Transylvania Times in Brevard, N.C., a bi-weekly newspaper, from 2000 until 2004, where he also covered news and feature stories. Kelly graduated from Western Carolina University in 1995 with a degree in English with a concentration in journalism and a minor in radio and television. He also wrote for the campus newspaper. Kelly lives in Cullowhee and enjoys hiking, camping, golf, bluegrass, and spending time with friends, family and his dog Mandy. Peter M. Morlock Graphic Designer Peter joined the staff of the Crossroads Chronicle in April 2014 from Hartford, CT where he was a production manager for a family of Alt Weeklies, before joining the editorial art department for the Hartford Courant. He has been in the graphics field since 1979. He served as an illustrator for the U.S. Army for eight years and upon separation from the service became Advertising Art Director for the Daily Record in Morristown, NJ. He has also worked for several ad agencies in Florida and was production manager for the Village Voice in NYC. Moving to Cashiers was “one of the best decisions of my life… I’m happy to be in such a friendly, beautiful town”.
