Culture Cycles was an idea I had back towards the end of 2009 as a way for me to share my favorite bicycle-related content with my friends and to learn more about blogging and social media. My friend Chris and I would always send each other links, so we figured why not put that towards something productive? Soon after launching, our good friend Hunt became involved and we started getting to work. It’s been almost a year and a half since we started, and I’ve personally learned more than I could have imagined in that short time! We’ve also organized, sponsored and helped coordinate multiple cycling events in Burlington since starting the blog. A little about me: I’ve been obsessed with bicycles ever since I could walk. As soon as I was old enough, I was fortunate to get a job working at a local bike shop that had a focus on racing and triathletes. I’d been building dirt jumps and riding my mountain bike constantly before, but being exposed to road riding at the new job opened my eyes to a whole new realm of cycling. I began to want to ride every discipline (except BMX, been sticking to skateboards my whole life though) and here I am almost 10+ years later, with all too many bikes and still rooted in the cycling industry. Over those 10 years, I’ve worked in shops small and large as well as a couple manufactures. So “All ends of the cycling spectrum” really means just that; we appreciate all bikes, just not those monsters from Wallyworld.
