Great magazine powered by (new) terrible app

I'm a relatively long time subscriber to Cycle News (over 3 years). The magazine content and coverage is great, The new app is terrible when compared to the previous app. Stability = 0 stars. App continually crashes on both my iPad mini (latest version) and iPad Air (latest version). And, when it isn't crashing, it often wont load the edition I choose to read (the app just hangs). Then, there is user functionality, interface, and ease of use. The prior reader app was much, much better. If you stop reading or close the new "powered by uberflip" app, the current version of the app brings you back to the cover page when it opens, not the page where you last stopped reading. It's also now tougher to keep track of the issues you've read, those you are reading, and newer ones you need to download. Maneuvering around the page isn't solely based on typically iPad "pinch or open fingers" to resize the page. With the new interface I'm constantly accidentally making the page too small, too large, or just freezing the page them where I cannot maneuver around....plus the movements used to make subtle size changes or move around on the page in the older app now result in accidentally changing pages when you'd rather not. Maybe it's just a user training issue....but should it be so hard? In summary, great magazine, terrible app.
