EarlyWord connects publishers and libraries

EarlyWord.com is used by collection development and readers advisory librarians to anticipate demand for front-list titles and to identify hidden gems they might otherwise miss.

The site was launched in 2008 by Nora Rawlinson, former editor-in-chief of Library Journal and Publishers Weekly and Fred Ciporen, former publisher of LJ, PW as well as School Library Journal.

EarlyWord is a “one-stop shop” where librarians learn what books and audio are getting buzz, what’s getting covered in the consumer press, and what media events are affecting sales so they can make effective use of their materials budgets.
