I am a homeschool mom, and we’re getting ready to embark on our 14th year!

I started our journey when my oldest was entering the third grade. I homeschooled him through 8th grade. He attended public school his freshman year and part of his sophomore year. Then, he came home, and graduated from homeschooling about two years ago.

My middle child was homeschooled all the way through the eighth grade when an incredible charter school opened in our hometown. At the end of his freshman year, we moved cross-country, and we allowed him to attend public school for his sophomore year. It has been a wonderful experience for him, and I imagine he will graduate from there in two years.

My daughter, currently going into the sixth grade, has been homeschooled all along. She will likely be the only one NOT to attend public school. As far as we have planned, she will graduating from home.

This blog was born out of questions I was asked by someone considering homeschooling for the first time. There is so much that I know now that I wish I had known thirteen years ago.

I also wanted a place that parents who are homeschooling the younger grades could come to find inspiration, because homeschooling the littles doesn’t have to cost much. So, here you’ll find printables, book lists, crafts, recipes, and more geared toward the PreK-3 crowd.
