The blog Fit and Free with Emily began one December afternoon in 2010, when I was lucky enough to win a WordPress giveaway. I had been itching for a way to share my story and connect with others, since beginning my blogging adventure in 2009 over at Blog to Lose. FF/E (clever acronym, right? ;) ) started primarily as a way for me to document my journey to lose 170lbs, and free myself from the emotional issues that 20+ years of obesity and Binge Eating disorder has given me. My main focus is not only fitness and losing weight, but also to address the mental and emotional side of drastically changing your life. I write about my personal journey: becoming physically and emotionally healthy through hard work, healthy habits, and revolutionary self-love. I deeply believe that we all have important stories to tell, and we can learn a lot from each other through blogging. The amount of support and love from readers and bloggers is unlike anything else!
