Cheaper than Yellow Pages, Billboards or Search Engine Ads LASER TARGETED to Illinois users! Ok, this is the easiest online advertising deal you’ll ever find. What You Get: Advertise on FireworksInIllinois.comOne 300 x 250 pixel (see illustration) ad on the right hand sidebar (below the Facebook box; where you see my ad now) across the run of the site. Your ad will go into even rotation with my ad and all other direct ads sold. Your ad will go into even non-exclusive rotation on the home page, the by-date, by-county and by-city category pages, the baseball page, and every event page. By non-exclusive, I mean you will go into rotation with other advertisers, under the Facebook box, on every page that has a sidebar. This site is targeted ONLY to Illinois, so there’s not going to be a lot of competing advertisers. By even rotation, I mean that every ad gets an equal number of impressions. Your ad will also display on mobile traffic (smartphones and tablets) which is over HALF my traffic. This size ad fits perfectly on smartphones and tablets. Check it out on your own device. Ads are sold on a first come, first served basis. I also have 160 x 600 pixel ad space available on the left sidebar. How Much Traffic We Talking About? Between May 1, 2014 and July 31, 2014, this site pulled in over 600,000 unique visits, and over 1.2 million pageviews. More than half that traffic was mobile. The vast majority of them (obviously) the first week in July. We’ve gained traffic every year. So… a reasonable amount. What You Pay: $249 per month from May 1 – July 31, which is my peak traffic period. I still get traffic off peak for other holiday fireworks (summer festival, Labor Day, New Year’s, etc), so you can sign up for those at $49 per month from August 1 thru April 30. For these purposes, a month is a calendar month. There – can’t be any easier than that, can it? I will say up front, I’m not particularly interested in pay-per-click or pay-per-lead advertising; I don’t have the time to optimize for it. So I’m only doing display. A Few Details This is a family friendly site, so I will have to insist on family friendly ads and landing pages. I reserve the right to decline your ads if I think they might cause me a problem legally, if you change your landing page to something other than what was agreed upon, or are otherwise likely to reflect poorly on my site(s). Since so much of my traffic is mobile, I strongly suggest that the page your ad points to is optimized for smart phones. Seriously, nobody converts if the page won’t come up on an iPhone. My site(s) are for entertainment purposes only, and I have no wish for them become involved in any political discourse; I will accept political advertising for candidates, but prefer not to take it for issue-oriented ads. I’d prefer not to have negative ads running for any party. There are plenty of other places for that. Any links on ads will have rel=”nofollow” added to them – neither you nor I need Google “paid link” trouble. Minimum term sold is a calendar month. Billing dates will be on the 1st of the month, but I can work with you if you need to start up or end at a different point. Payment is due up front via PayPal. I will ask you to fill out the sign-up form (note – it’s located on a dedicated site, but works for ALL my sites), submit your URL (and your ad if you have it done already) and pay with your PayPal account if you have one, or with a credit card if you don’t. Once it’s paid, your ads will run – within 24 hours if you want them up immediately, or on the date you specify.
