Indy Family Resource is a community service sponsored by Realtor® Dan Irish with ERA Real Estate Links. The website and concept was started by Fishers’ residents, Dan and Mindy Irish. Originally named “For You and the Crew” at its launch in March 2011, the site was renamed in the Winter of 2013 to reach a larger amount of area families.
In efforts for the Irish family to find fun things to do around Indy, they made a list of places to go and things to do with their crew in tow. They didn’t want to spend $50-$100+ on each trip they made, and surely there were more inexpensive and entertaining activities that the fam could enjoy? So the search was on!
As a Realtor®, Dan also had a need to compile a list of events and activities to help his out-of-state clients get to know the area. As they started discovering more and more fun, free, and low-cost events in the Indianapolis and surrounding areas, they knew they had to come up with a creative venue to tell more people about their great finds! So here it is!
As an assistant to Dan, Mindy heads up this effort and has pledged to look high and low for the happenin’ events in Indy and around town. Monthly calendars will be posted and they’re adding activities all the time! She’ll also be Facebook posting event reminders as the days and weeks go by. Other features include periodic Giveaways, Reviews of area venues so you can “Know before you go”, and Resource lists and ideas of ways to learn more about our great Indy area.
