About Jewel Jewel is a 40-something chick, born and raised in Washington, DC. She moved to South Florida a few years ago. Through her enthrallment with Social Media, while working in the Special Events, Marketing, and Fashion industries, she has met many interesting people, which led her to what her friends jokingly call “The Fab Life.” Her life routinely alternates between the mundane and the fabulous. Her personal blog, TheTinyJEWELBox, was named the Best Personal Blog in South Florida 2010 by the South Florida Sun Sentinel Newspaper. The Fab folks in Florida have embraced her and she’s often out among them. Though fascinated with the Fab, Jewel also has a heart for service. She’s held leadership positions within several local charities and is always willing to assist “the least of us.” In April 2010, she will undertake ChevyUnivTour, an 8 day family road trip that will visit the 2 university choices for her high school senior daughter. Chevy is the title sponsor of this project, along with Dunkin Donuts of South Florida, Hot Pink Styling, and Soup Plantation/Sweet Tomatoes. Jewel lives in the Miami burbs with her family.
