A LONG TIME AGO, I MADE MYSELF A PROMISE I swore that if I ever became successful at this online business thing, I would build an online resource to help those who were just starting out on this journey. - Onuora Amobi Founder & CEO Learn About The Web. It was ironic really. I had been around computers since I was 4 years old, had an Information Systems college degree and had worked for a top management consulting firm but still had absolutely no idea how the internet worked. I mean how it really worked, how you could take an idea that you had, flesh it out and create a full fledged business that could generate hundreds of thousands of dollars. Back in 1998, the kind of technology we have today seemed like science fiction. Let’s put this in context – WordPress didn’t even exist, web domains and hosting were expensive and web browsers couldn’t play sounds talk less of movies. The internet was very slowly but surely starting to find it’s footing. I started learning about the transformative power of the web on weekends when I had downtime. You see, as an IT consultant working far from home during the week, I found that it was an interesting intellectual exercise that kept me busy. As I learned more, that curiosity grew into a hobby which then grew into an obsession and much later into a successful business. I’ll tell you what though. I’ll never forget how tough it was starting out in this business. You see, back then, there were no guides or tutorials that showed you how to put the pieces together. If you wanted to learn about Search Engine Optimization (SEO), you had to go and try and figure it out. If you wanted to learn about basic Web Marketing, you had to spend a lot of time trying to figure to out. You get the picture. What was true back then is still true today, which is that the people who had this thing figured out had no interest in sharing what they knew. Back then I promised myself that if I ever became successful online, I would build a comprehensive online resource that would help others who were just starting out on this journey. A resource that would give people a roadmap, teach them how to make their online dreams a reality, and provide all the steps and tools they will ever need for that journey. This website is the fulfillment of that promise. Welcome to Learn About The Web™. DO YOU HAVE A WORLD CLASS PRODUCT THAT CAN HELP OUR PEOPLE BUILD A BETTER ONLINE BUSINESS? You might want to reach out to us and talk...... Learn About The Web is a very targeted and closed community of Online Marketing students and enthusiasts.
