    This website is based on Lexington’s local newspaper, The Lexington Clipper-Herald. From pioneer times Lexington has enjoyed the services of a community newspaper. In fact for a number of years the community supported two different papers, The Dawson County Herald and the Lexington Clipper. In 1964 the names were merged to form the Lexington Clipper-Herald, still publishing twice a week, the only biweekly in Dawson County. Today the Clipper-Herald is owned by Midlands Newspapers, a subsidiary of the Omaha World-Herald. The Clipper-Herald strives to be a community newspaper, covering everything from local sports, school events, to city and county news. Our website is just another way to serve our area better. We are a bi-weekly paper, but the website is updated daily with the latest news, photos and more. You will find front page news, sports stories, obituaries, engagements, weddings, anniversaries, classifieds and so much more! So, please look around and come back often!
