    The award-winning Morgan Hill Times is a multi-media community news organization owned by New SV Media and is the oldest continuous business in Morgan Hill, tracing its history back to 1894. The first newspaper was founded by George A. Edes April 12, 1894, and was named the Morgan Hill Sun. At that time there were only a few hundred people in the community. A dozen years later, a second paper, The Times, was founded. Shortly thereafter, the two papers were combined under the name of The Sun-Times. Following the turn of the century, The Sun was dropped from the name and the paper has continued as the Morgan Hill Times to the present. Today, in addition to publishing each Friday in south Santa Clara County, the news is delivered 24/7 on the web at morganhilltimes.com and via mobile apps to smartphones, providing watchdog coverage of politics, schools, county issues, crime and breaking news in the city of nearly 40,000. Regionally, the Times has two sister newspapers in neighboring communities which contribute to the local news report, the Gilroy Dispatch and the Hollister Free Lance.
