    ABOUT ME I have one word to say: Salzburger Nockerl! How could someone who grew up eating home made Salzburger Nockerl (with confectioners’s sugar and chilled Vermont syrup) for brunch every Sunday after Hebrew school NOT KNOW HOW TO COOK? Even at my bridal shower over 15 years ago, my family wrote me a poem titled: “The Challenge of Cooking for Shari and Adam” The challenge of marriage will be exciting and new, Now compound that with the agony of cooking for you two Shari is content with cereal, but vegetables will do, Theirs will certainly be a most difficult menu… My wedding china, after never-having-been-opened for 14 years, was finally put on Ebay and sold! MY NAME IS SHARI. I am a mother of two young kids with moderately-limited palates and wife to a husband who eats to survive. In fact, on our honeymoon he proclaimed, “I don’t care if you cook, I just don’t want to have to think about dinner. As long as there’s something in front of me on the table when I get home, I’m happy.” (I should also note that he has his private stash of Kraft American singles and Wonder white bread in the fridge). I used to be a NYC carry-out junkie, a Fresh Direct “Chef’s Table Member,” and a sucker for bento-box-like meals that can be cooked in under 15 minutes. I was completely kitchen-clueless but, I’m slowly evolving into a confident cook from all my (mis)adventures through Mom’s famed recipes. This self-prescribed journey has been chock-full of emotion, frustration, laughs, enlightenment and plenty of blunders. COME JOIN ME IN THE KITCHEN and together LET’S HAVE FUN!
