The posters are in high traffic areas such as entry and exit points, pay machines, ramps etc. Barrier advertising You can advertise on one of our exit or entry barriers for as little as £250 (per barrier) for a two week period. This is available at 185 of our multi-storey car parks. Ticket back advertising If you're looking to target each and every NCP customer you can use the back of our tickets. This is arguably one of most effective ways of getting your message to your customers.

Promises much. Delivers little.

Received an email today pointing out a £5 offer for 24 hours. Listed several car parks in Manchester which are running the offer. App still only features THREE car parks in the whole of Manchester. So absolutely useless this app.

Useless as it won’t work in my local car park

I downloaded the App because of problems with machines being out of order at my local car park. Went through the rigmarole if registering on line. However, I can’t connect to the server from inside the enclosed car park. So doesn’t do the job required. A worry and frustrating.

Did everything right but App thought I was in a different car park.

Thanks to the App Help Team who sorted out my fine as I had paid my parking fee. Apparently as I Parked at the very bottom end of the Car Park the App picked me up as being in the adjacent NCP car park separated by a low wall, so take care you are paying for the correct car park. The Tariffs are significantly different I have since discovered. Downloaded and registered as I knew I was going to park in an NCP Car Park. Parked up, logged in, paid and even got an email whilst still in the car really impressed. Paid for three hours and left after two and a half. Today over two weeks later get a notice of £60 fine so have to go through all the appeals process. So my initial great impression is now in bits. Great system in theory but not in practice.

Great way to charge more

The price at my car park has increased by over 25% in the last year. There has been another hike of 50p per day, if you don’t use ‘park pass’. I thought i’d take a look at the app - turns out most people have issues with it. Why should we hang our phones out our car windows and gamble on the app actually working? There is nothing worse than getting stuck at the (only) barrier to exit, with nobody on site to let you out and a queue of 15 cars forming behind you. You can pretend this is an environmentally conscious move, but it’s another way to increase the price for the vast majority of your customers. If you want a system where people can top up, give them a card that connects to an app where you can deposit money, or at least invest in a decent app.

Rubbish - don’t bother

Downloaded the app - first day was great - second day seemed to be going fine until trying to exit and the app signed me out, sent me my invoice for payment but guess what - the barrier remained down. The nice men at the car park for me out. Next day went to barrier to enter - reads the app and signs me in but guess what - the barrier doesn’t go up. The nice men get me in. Coming to exit that night and the barrier won’t even acknowledge my app and won’t let me out. Once again the men at the car park get me out and send an email to the tech team to get them to sort but a week and a day later I am still parked at the car park and nothing has been sorted. So I ring NCP - the man in the phone clears the booking on my phone and advises me that it won’t happen again. I come to parking again today and here we go again - the app books me in but the barrier remains down!!! I wouldn’t mind but I’m also missing out on my discount on the app as well as having to go back to tickets. Please get this app sorted - I have heard of other people in my car park having the same problem and it seems that there are others when you look at the reviews.
