No notifications

I have not been getting any notifications on my phone for this app. I made sure my settings were set to receive them. Is there an issue? Am I the only one?

It's still crashing!

This is for the most recent update May 2017. It's still crashing! WTH? Does anyone check this b4 releasing the update?

Complete garbage

App barely functions. Scrolling down a story causes it to pop back to the top so that reading anything is impossible. Interface is lousy. Comments are slow to load. Not worth the price (free).

site finally opens

1st time in months [delete app. icon / fresh install new v.] time will tell how well it works; but HOME & Top Stories pages = 90% Sports, as usual.

Bad 'Fix'

As other reviewers/users have stated, since the last update, app has not opened/worked. Has it been over 2 weeks? So, additionally, apart from just not functioning, creators/devs are not responsive to users.

Worthless Update Crashes On Start

Just like the previous reviewer noted, this latest version will not open and is thus a totally worthless waste of space on my phone. I'm on the iPhone 5S, so if you have the same model phone, you should probably stay clear of this app. It's totally representative of the "journalism" it contains when it works—garbage, left-wing propaganda, mostly reposted from the Washington Post. I already canceled their newspaper long ago and switched to The Advocate, and it looks like it's time to do the same with the app!
Facebook FBSDKLoginKit

GTMSessionFetcher

Metal
Render advanced 3D graphics and perform data-parallel computations. Get fine-grained access to the GPU while minimizing CPU overhead. The Metal Framework provides extremely low-overhead access to the GPU, enabling incredibly high performance for your sophisticated graphics rendering and computational tasks. Metal eliminates many performance bottlenecks—such as costly state validation—that are found in traditional graphics APIs. Metal moves all expensive state translation and compilation operations out of the critical path of your most performance sensitive rendering code. It provides precompiled shaders, state objects, and explicit command scheduling to ensure that your application achieves the highest possible performance and efficiency. Graphics, compute, and blit commands can be used together seamlessly and efficiently. Metal is specifically designed to exploit modern architectural considerations, such as multiprocessing and shared memory, to make it easy to parallelize the creation of GPU commands.
Swift
The powerful programming language that is also easy to learn. Swift is a powerful and intuitive programming language for macOS, iOS, watchOS and tvOS. Writing Swift code is interactive and fun, the syntax is concise yet expressive, and Swift includes modern features developers love. Swift code is safe by design, yet also produces software that runs lightning-fast.

You use the classes of this framework to schedule the delivery of local notifications based on specific conditions, such as time or location. Apps and extensions also use this framework to receive and potentially modify local and remote notifications when they are delivered to the user’s device.
Admob

Core Video Framework
Core Video provides a pipeline model for digital video. Partitioning the processing into discrete steps makes it simpler for developers to access and manipulate individual frames without having to worry about translating between data types (QuickTime, OpenGL, and so on) or display synchronization issues. Applications that do not need to manipulate individual video frames should never need to use Core Video directly.
Doubleclick For Publis...
DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) Mobile is an ad delivery system for mobile websites and applications that delivers dynamic, interactive ads to mobile web pages and applications based on specific criteria as determined by you. It supports a wide range of devices and boasts a full management and reporting suite.
GLKit
The GLKit framework provides functions and classes that reduce the effort required to create new shader-based apps or to port existing apps that rely on fixed-function vertex or fragment processing provided by earlier versions of OpenGL ES or OpenGL.
