Ebenezer Donkoh otherwise known widely as NY DJ is a young optimistic award winning multi platform content creator (Radio Presenter, YouTuber, Blogger, DJ, P.R etc) with works featured on several internationally recognized platforms.

A former Media Relations Officer for Kumasi’s event organizing stalwart, Homeproud Events.

A graduate from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with honours in Modern Languages (French and English), NY DJ’s love and passion for radio, presentation and blogging started from Senior High School where he doubled as Debating Team President and Vice President of the Students Representative Council. The ability and flair with articulation made him the people’s choice.

In 2008- 2009, NY DJ was awarded the best radio DJ by Focus FM the official radio station of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where he worked until he joined Imperial Broadcasting in 2011.

He has received recognition nationwide and had recently been rated among the most listened to radio Disc Jockeys according to Podomatic, iTunes and readers of local entertainment papers such as Flex Magazine. He has also appeared in the hip hop shows in Benin and elsewhere.

NY DJ is a real force to reckon with in the game of hip hop, Hip Life, Pop, Crank and R&B in Ghana.

Committed to supporting music talents, he has hosted so many local and international artistes on his show. The List includes Acehood (USA), Stevie Face (Jamaica), Sway (UK), M3nsa (UK), Brick and Lace (USA), Savana Jennings (Jamaica& USA),Sarkodie, M.anifest, Reggie Rockstone , Obrafuo , Asem , Okyeame Kwame , Richie, Eazzy , Chemphe , Dj Nyce(USA), Wanlov the Kubolor and the list goes on.

In September 2014, NY DJ left a huge vacuum as he left Kapital Radio where he hosted the drive time show for three years.

NY DJ is currently with Global Media Alliance where he serves as an on air personality with YFM, Kumasi 102.5FM. He wakes the city up to good music on “Ryse N Shyne”; a music and entertainment content based morning show which airs each weekday from 6am to 9am.

He was recently voted the 2nd Best Entertainment Journalist at the maiden edition of GN Bank People’s Choice Awards held in Accra, Ghana.

He was part of a select few journalists who attended the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards held in South Africa.

NY DJ received nominations for the Best Entertainment Journalist at the City Peoples Awards 2015 in Nigeria and in 2016 for the same category.

He was also nominated for the Blogger of the year award at the 3rd edition of the Jigwe Awards organized by Viasat 1 TV in Ghana.

NY DJ is a founding member of HypeUp Ghana, a multimedia company based in Kumasi, Ghana and also editor for www.nydjlive.com.

He is a Ghanaian ambassador for global phone application Truecaller and currently an ambassador to the National Council on People with Disability in Ghana.
