Planet Quark is an independent website, created and maintained BY users of Quark products, FOR users of Quark products. Contributions come from users around the world who want to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for Quark products with other users of Quark products. Its intention is to support Quark users by providing helpful information relating to all aspects of a Quark user’s professional life. PlanetQuark.com is the first independent website dedicated to QuarkXPress and other Quark products. When QuarkXPress 7 was released in 2006, it created a groundswell of renewed interest in Quark’s products, and PlanetQuark.com was developed to support users of the new version, as well as users of previous versions of QuarkXPress. Planet Quark’s editorial director is Jay Nelson, who has been active in the Quark community since 1987. Nelson is a well-respected industry veteran and the editor and publisher of Design Tools Monthly, a unique newsletter he founded in 1992. He is also a sought-after speaker and writer for graphic arts magazines.
