Race Journal Online officially opened our doors in October of 2006. The season was nearly complete, and we wanted to be 100% ready for the 2007 season. We’d expected that by Daytona of 2007, we would have some word-of-mouth momentum that would propel us to the forefront of racing websites. We had no idea that by the end of that first month we’d reach 40,000 hits and 200 registered users. We were happy to announce site sponsorship from three corporations in our opening season and in that first year we produced more than SIX MILLION advertisement impressions for those three companies. Our primary sponsor had impressions totaling nearly four million. The phenomenon of sponsor-loyalty from NASCAR fans has been well-documented, and as a racing website (not affiliated in any way with the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing), we have seen this same brand loyalty. We know from our visitors that people have patronized our sponsors for the sole reason that they are our sponsors. They know that site sponsorship is critical to the continued success of Race Journal Online. Over the years, we've continued growing, and even added a fan forum to the site. We've seen positive growth and increased our fan interaction since that addition. Carol Einarsson’s writing credits include five years as a regular contributor at Insider Racing News, and a year under contract with Knight Ridder Publications contributing to the racing site of The Charlotte Observer. She was also invited to write for Chicken Soup for the NASCAR Soul, and is published in Chicken Soup for the Soul – Moms and Sons. She is a proven asset in the world of motorsports journalism. Imagine your business ads being seen more than 75,000 times every week! Race Journal Online can offer you that kind of exposure at very reasonable advertising rates! Your ad will be featured on every page at the website, and you can choose the size. Space is currently available on the side bars or in the middle of the page. Full site sponsorship is negotiable. FOX Sports Anchor Mike Joy has this to say about Carol’s weekly Cheers and Jeers column, "Carol has been great at throwing both bouquets and bricks at the racers and TV networks. Best of all, her efforts have spawned a host of imitators, and you know what they say about imitation. The others may have copied Carol's style of writing, but they are all a lap down (and no, there's no lucky dog)." And NASCAR on FOX pit reporter and host of numerous NASCAR shows, Steve Byrnes, says, "Cheers and Jeers is one of my favorite columns in the sport. Carol has a way of putting the race, and its broadcast into perspective in a way that's fun, poignant, and fresh. Her columns always inspire a lot of reaction and that's half the fun of the site. Carol speaks and writes from the heart. I respect and enjoy that point of view!" Come see what everyone's talking about!
