"The Sand Springs Leader proudly serves the growing community of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. The Leader publishes in print on Wednesdays and Saturdays (commonly called the Sunday issue) and online daily at SandSpringsLeader.com, and focuses on local people, local news, and events that impact Sand Springs' "Sandites."

In each issue, you'll find a strong mix of school, sports, outdoors, and general news, as well as obituaries, wedding announcements, and other community information. The Leader includes a legal section, classifieds, and a strong advertising base of local businesses. In every Sunday issue, the Leader runs a Church page focusing on faith in Sand Springs which includes devotionals from local pastors and church event listings. Also each Sunday, you'll find "Along the Arkansas," by Conrad Vollertsen, which contains some of the most colorful, informative, and fun-filled reading about the outdoors -- even if you're not an outdoorsperson.

The Leader has been honored through the years with numerous awards, most recently winning first place awards in its division in the Oklahoma Press Association contests for Layout and Design (2006-2007), Feature writing (2007), Editorial writing (2007), and photography (2006).
