    10 [Random] FACTS ABOUT ME: 1. I am a Jesus freak. I love Christ passionately and seek to live out God’s purposes each and every day. 2. I have been married for 13 years to Ryan, the other love of my life. I have it really good. 3. We have 7 children: Arianna, X, oldest bro, middle bro, lil sis, E, and youngest bro. Confused? X & E were our first kids who we adopted 7 in 2007. Arianna was next, coming to us in August 2012. Arianna’s 4 younger siblings are the most recent addition to the Newcom tribe, arriving this July. They are slated for a January 2015 legal adoption. We are passionate about the foster care system and giving children homes and forever families. 4. We are Gluten Free. Ryan is allergic to gluten and I just feel better without it. The kids eat what I make them, sometimes gluten, sometimes not. 5. My husband and I began a non-profit ministry called RED SKY. Our dream is to buy the garage next door to us to revamp into a “community center” for students to have a safe and relevant place to hang out. 6. I work (almost) full time, 32 hours, as a Pharmacist at Walgreens. I actually love what I do but feel amazingly blessed that I’ve had the opportunity to work a little bit less and be home a little bit more. 7. In May 2011, we felt God telling us to sell our “way more than we needed” house and buy a home with cash, clearing ourselves of all debt. Our house sold in 17 days leaving us homeless while we remodeled our cash purchased house. We went from 4600 sq feet to 1800 sq feet then remodeled some more to 2200 sq feet. Best. Decision. Ever. 8. I drink a lot of coffee and don’t sleep nearly as much as I should (which I know is going to catch up to me any year now). 9. I like to run. Some days I hate it, other days I love it. I still do it. 10. My word for 2014 is SHINE. My goal in sharing my life on this blog is not for me to SHINE but for Jesus to SHINE through me.
