The North Jefferson News strives to be the best, most reliable source for community news, features and sports for readers and advertisers in north Jefferson County.

We publish our print edition each Wednesday, and provide up-to-the-minute news online through our website, Facebook page and Twitter feed.

The NJN was founded in 1970 in Gardendale, and covers the communities of Fultondale, Gardendale, Morris, Kimberly, Pinson, Warrior, Brookside, Corner, Trafford and surrounding areas in northern Jefferson County.

The North Jefferson News is owned by Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. (CNHI), which is based in Montgomery, Ala.

No. 112 in the Cobblestone Center at 475 North Lake Blvd. in Tahoe City. The Sierra Sun and its predecessors have been published in Truckee since 1869. According to some fact and a little fiction, the Sun debuted as the Truckee Tribune in 1869 by N.W. Ferguson. E. B. Boust was the first editor.
