Welcome to Tales from a Cottage! My name is Lindsay Storm, I am a wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, pet mom, blogger, hairstylist, cook, crafter, gardener, and spiritual being. My favorite thing on a sunny day is to be out working in my yard or riding my bike, Dorothy, and my favorite thing on a rainy day is to be inside working on crafty projects with a cup of tea in hand. I am a huge animal lover! (That's an understatement really.) My husband, Jared, and I have two dogs, Lola and Penelope, and three cats, Clementine, Sofia, and Benny Boo Boo. They are spoiled rotten, as they should be, all came to us from the local animal shelter I used to work for. My husband and I have been married for 6 years this year. My purpose in writing this blog was originally just a fun little project to add to my repertoire. I've since found that sharing personal stories and true tales about life, whether it be a simple recipe that someone might enjoy, a fun craft you can get together with your girlfriend and do while catching up, or a new perspective through a meaningful story that you or someone you know could really relate to, can all be very powerful. Each of these types of posts evoke emotions and love on different levels, and that is why I write on this blog. Jared and I have learned the important lesson of finding a job that is fulfilling. We have a goal of starting our own farm within the next 2-3 years that will provide organic/ heirloom local produce for our community. We also hope to teach the importance of growing vegetable gardens and the amazing benefits not only to personal health, but the environment and economy as well. We will be starting a website tracking our progress in the near future.
