    Hi, I’m Katie…here is a little bit about me. I am a Child of the King, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio! I would love to live someplace warm all year…but this is my home. :) You will often find me sporting a cute apron…cooking and baking up a storm in my kitchen. I am a cake decorator and I love using my creativity to create custom cakes for others. I do have interests outside the kitchen…on any given day you may find me crafting, playing with my sweet puppy, sweating at the gym, reading, riding my bike, gardening, writing, or chatting with a friend over a cup of tea. I love funky jewelry, peanut butter, everything PINK, camping, hot tea, Paula Deen, Nike running shorts, puppies, handbags, coffee drinks, running shoes, traveling, and cupcakes…to name a few things. I love spending time with my husband…he is adorable, supportive, funny, and smart. I am a dental assistant turned homemaker. I love the Lord with all of my heart and I owe everything to Him who paid my price on the cross. He is my reason for living, and I strive to live a life that is pleasing to Him. About the Blog Back in November of 2009 I began writing this blog. Food and saving money had become my passion, and I thought this would be a great way to share my deals and recipes with family and friends. I started out with about 5 loyal readers. I never imagined how much it would grow, how many like minded friends I would meet, how much I would enjoy it, and how much I would learn from it. My mission is to help YOU discover strategies that will help save you both time and money in the kitchen. I have set out to prove that it is possible to serve your family healthy and delicious meals without breaking the bank. Not only that, but it doesn’t have to take a ton of time. You don’t need to spend 10 hours a week clipping coupons in order to save money. Coupons are great, but there are lots of ways to save money in the kitchen. I’m often updating the blog with my latest recipes, kitchen tips, adventures in freezer cooking, strategies to savings, menu plans, and much more. I also share about the Lord in my Sunday posts…Faith of a Foodie. Oh, and I occasionally throw in a random post, sometimes I just can’t help myself.
