    Founded in 1986 by DeLoss Dodds, the Longhorn Foundation is the official fundraising entity of UT Athletics. Through the generosity of Longhorn Foundation members, UT Athletics annually supports the educational and competitive pursuits of more than 500 student-athletes. As one of the top academic and athletic institutions in the nation, UT Athletics strives to provide a premier student-athlete experience, including student services support; leading academic and sports medicine facilities; full-service athletics training and healthcare; and a top nutrition, strength and conditioning program. All these elements allow student-athletes to win with integrity – in academics, in athletics and in life. Financial gifts to the Longhorn Foundation are ultimately an investment in the young people whose talent, determination and dedication allow them to be ambassadors of today and leaders for tomorrow. As a self-supporting UT auxiliary, UT Athletics receives no state funds. As such, the success of UT Athletics can be attributed in large part to our donors who understand dividends are paid to The University and community through pride and the exposure of maintaining a successful program.
