Publisher: This Is Life

As a stay at home mum (living in Lancashire), my life is surrounded by family and food (well, housework as well but let's don't talk about that!). This doesn't mean that I don't have a life, oh no. I have a life and I enjoy it very much. Of course, you'll get the odd days where everything including the herbs you are trying to chop go against you, but that's just life, and I want to share part of it through this blog. We love our food. We love to try cooking dishes that we have enjoyed outside, or food that we missed from Holland (including Indonesian food from Holland), Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore (including Malaysian food). Ah yes, me and hubby are both from a multinational background. But that's another story :) When I've found a recipe I like and it worked, I will share it here on this blog. I can't remember what life was like before we had babies, they are so important to us that we rather spend special occasions with them than finding a baby sitter. This doesn't mean that their cheekiness doesn't make us go crazy though! Abby is 6 now and is enjoying school life, with the odd moments of grumpiness as she's constantly being challenged with Year 2 level work by both me and the teachers. We know she can do it, though she is more than happy to do whatever is easiest! She loves to dance and sing (her favourite at the moment is out of tune Let It Go!), and is now part of a cheerleading mini squad. She was also 1 of 5 year 1-2 children who represented her school in a local Gymnastics competition. Soon she'll be presenting the school's eco project in the county hall with her fellow councillors! We are very proud of her! Abby also loves LEGO, Moshi Monsters, Hello Kitty and video games. Almost 3 Clayton has picked up a lot of things from his sister and his favourite TV programs, and is getting cheekier by the day! He's speaking clearer now, which is good but I'm going to miss his cute baby talks soon! He loves both girly and boy things, so can play well (or fight well) with his sister! His favourite program at the moment is Fireman Sam and Octonauts, and you can always find him holding one of the character in his little hand or in his pocket when we are out and about! Trying out new things, let it be toys, restaurants or places to go, has become a big part of our life, and we enjoy every bit of it! It's a fantastic way to discover something new into our otherwise quite routine life. It's been over 2 years now since I've started blogging and I'm really enjoying it. We are looking forward to more new things in 2014!
