Our Team Christine Stewart-Fitzgerald Host/Producer Christine Stewart-Fitzgerald, Twin Talks Host For many years of Christine’s adult life, having children was just a passing thought. And having twins was NEVER part of the plan. She got the travel bug during college and managed to live abroad and build a career that incorporated international marketing and business software; neither of which seemed to be conducive to mommyhood. And then after meeting and marrying the right guy, she found herself pregnant with twins. That was in 2009 and nothing has ever been the same since. Today, you’ll find her juggling her identical twin girls, plus a singleton baby girl. She has been serving on the board of a local twins club for several years and has helped new twin parents find the resources they need to keep their sanity in those first few months. And as far as world travel goes; that trip to Cambodia has been put on hold. Email Christine Shelly Steely Producer Shelly Steely, Twin Talks ProduceShelly is a native San-Diegan who has always had a passion for education. She studied History at UCSD and took numerous jobs tutoring children in a variety of settings before receiving her teaching credential from SDSU. Her first job was teaching pregnant and parenting youth at an alternative high school, and it was that experience that truly shaped not only the teacher she is today, but the mother as well. Connecting with new moms is a source of joy for Shelly, and she was able to become part of the conversation on a new level when she welcomed her first children, identical twin boys Greyson and Sawyer, in July of 2012. She really has always been an overachiever, and this is no exception! With the support of a large group of diverse moms around the nation, she has been able to meet and exceed her breastfeeding goals, enter the world of cloth-diapering, and still have time to update her personal blog (You can follow her at Double The Laundry.) Her husband is her biggest supporter, and he works nights so that they are able to be with their boys full-time. When she’s not chasing her toddlers, grading papers, or glued to her computer screen, you’re most likely to find her with her nose in a book. She hopes to continue to support new twin moms in her current role with New Mommy Media. Email Shelly Sunny Gault Mommy-In Charge, New Mommy Media Prior to having her first child, Sunny had never even changed a diaper. Her friends and family would joke about her inexperience with children, and wondered how well she could transition from having a successful career in television, to being a full time mom. Sunny met the challenge head-on by combining her talents in media with her passion for motherhood. She helped launch the web television series, Momversation, featuring video conversations amongst the web’s top mommy bloggers. This provided some great on-the-job training, teaching Sunny some important parenting and online programming skills. When she was 17 weeks pregnant with her first child, Sunny joined the weekly, podcast PregTASTIC, as host and producer. Once again, Sunny was able to grow and learn from other moms, many of which were located all over the world. Two months prior to the birth of her second child, PregTASTIC wrapped production and Sunny decided to pursue her personal goals. That’s how her company, New Mommy Media, LLC was born. The company currently produces four audio podcasts Preggie Pals, Parent Savers, The Boob Group, and Twin Talks, all focused on easing the transition to parenthood. Her goal is to provide resources where new and expecting parents can embrace their new roles in life, without feeling like they have all the answers. It’s for people, like Sunny, who had little experience, but a whole lot of heart. Sunny and her husband, Ryan, live in San Diego with their four children: Sayer, Urban, and identical twins Ainsley and Addison. Email Sunny
