Udvikleren.dk has existed since 2000, when it came online in March month. It has always been made by Kasper Tanggaard who also writes the text, but with a lot of different people over the years. Moreover, it is of course very much a user-driven site that is supported by all the active users are asked and answered questions, written articles and in general just added content and life to the site.

The vision of the site has always been to help people in the process of programming and help them along when things were challenging, but also to create a community where people with a passion for creative work created on a computer could meet and discuss the issues they burned before. Therefore, the site also quickly expanded with sections of graphics and design, as well as other technologies that were more than just programming.

Udvikleren.dk have been through countless versions and even multiple platforms, and this text marks also another new version of the site here in 2011 when Udvikleren.dk is about to fill 11 years. This is also the largest restructuring of the website until now, where a lot of basic things on the site has changed substantially - a kind of new beginning, if you will.
