A little while ago, a boy from over there met a girl from over here. They fell in love, got married, had a baby and started this website… Hello and a very warm welcome to VintageVictory.com! VintageVictory.com is the place to be and be seen. Come and join the VintageVictory.com community for vintage culture, vintage content and vintage commerce! We invite you to come shopping in the VV Marketplace! Are you looking for that special vintage piece, that hard to find item, or simply want to browse for inspiration and something unique? Then please check out the VV Marketplace. So, how did it all start… We love shopping and we love vintage. We found it difficult to find all that we were looking for under one convenient (virtual) roof. We also found a huge amount of people in the vintage genre, both looking to buy and to sell those special vintage items. Some vintage sellers are large and established, but many are smaller vintage lovers who sometimes struggle to show their wares to a larger audience. So, we set about making this website. At VintageVictory.com, for the vintage genre, we bring together those that can provide it with the many thousands who want it. VintageVictory is a victory for the vintage genre; please come in and enjoy! Meet the founders… G&K or K&G, depending on who’s saying it, is Gerardo and Katy (or Katy and Gerardo). We are a family business and we would love to welcome you to the VintageVictory community and Marketplace. Cheers, G&K / K&G Meet the Team – About Us About Gerardo: Hello All I'm from Los Angeles, born and raised. "On the playground I spent most of my days..."

South Essex College Alumni, Essex, England - Internet Technologies About Katy: Hello there I grew up “bi-coastally” but think I’ve decided the UK is my home, for now… I’ve spent most of my life looking at and assessing other peoples’ businesses, and always wondered about starting my own. We live in exciting times and the Internet offers opportunities beyond our wildest dreams. So, how would the “old” vintage work with the “new” Internet? Armed with a new family addition (a young son), now’s the time to find out and embark upon this huge challenge and very exciting journey. Come and share our adventure! K About Mike: Hi I’m Mike, I’m 20, and I’m addicted to coding. I got interested in creating websites when I was in college and it’s just grown from there. I met Gerardo at uni where we were both taking the same course. I helped him out on a couple of things in the early stages of the website and it’s just carried on from there. I’m looking forward to what the future has in store for me :D Meet The Team - 30 Second Interviews Katy: How did you meet your husband? First time I saw my husband-to-be was on a blind date of sorts – he turned up more than an hour late, got out of his car and then took out a full-length mirror, leaned it up against his car, and “checked his look”. He was in a full zoot suit with all the trimmings… When did you know your husband was the one for you? See above, plus he had shiny shoes, was very well groomed, and he sang to me in the car on the way to the restaurant. What did he sing? Frank Sinatra, The Way You Look Tonight. How did the idea for VintageVictory come about? We’d need more than 30 seconds. Gerardo: How did you meet your wife? I was fashionably late (an hour is good etiquette, right?). I was well dressed. I serenaded her. When did you know your wife was the one for you? I couldn’t resist her English charm. Mike has joined the team recently. Why Mike? Mike and I went to Internet Skool together. I was impressed by Mike many times during our time at school. I recall the first time… our lecturer was handing out a page of notes (well, coding, which to non-coders (and new coders!) is indecipherable) and before he had handed out the notes to the whole class, Mike had found the mistake (a colon, rather than a semi-colon had been used, rendering the code inoperable). I thought, “This guy’s talented”. And he’s a nice guy too. How did the idea for VintageVictory come about? Ask my wife. Mike: They call you The Captain. Why? Actually it’s Cap’n. It’s because I steer the ship. When you’re not correcting your coding lecturers at Internet Skool, what do you do? I code. When you first met Gerardo at Internet Skool, how did he impress you? He did a really good impression of an eccentric American. Katy still translates. We hope you enjoy the site! Cheers from all of us at VintageVictory.com. Gerardo & Katy
