www.whatsonni.com is revolutionising how people living in and visiting Northern Ireland access information about what’s on in Northern Ireland.

The website is the brainchild of mid ulster business woman Jacqueline McGonigle, who identified a glaring gap in Northern Ireland’s cyber market place for a website that would be a one-stop-shop for information on what’s happening in every nook and cranny of Northern Ireland – whether it’s a family looking for ideas to entertain children over the school holidays, to visitors from afar hoping to sample the delights of Northern Ireland.

It’s the ideal platform for anyone organising any type of event. By registering on the home page, they can list their event free of charge. From gigs to charity fundraisers; from school events to street markets – whatever the event – we would encourage organisers to make sure they use whatsonni.com to their advantage to increase attendance and thereby ensuring their event’s success.

Alternatively, anyone from anywhere can use the site to search for an event that’s to their taste. With a key word search facility on the homepage, plus an extensive list of categories to browse, and an advanced search facility – visitors to the website are sure to find just what they’re looking for.

The website includes information for groups and organisations involved in organising events – including an Event Organisers Checklist and a searchable directory of suppliers to the event industry (where suppliers can also add a basic free listing).

The website is also open to tourist attraction listings which are added the same way as events and once again basic listings are free of charge.

It’s a fun, user friendly website, carefully and creatively designed by Glenovation, Ballycastle. It even includes a Personal Events Calendar, route finder and social media share facility - and the beauty of it is that event organisers can access, add and manage their own free listings on-line.

It was created to be a free web based platform for event organisers to promote their event free of charge – thereby creating a current, searchable events list for all types and sizes of events across Northern Ireland. Complete the short registration form (free) , choose your own password and you are ready to list your event by category, location and date. You will receive an email confirming your username and password. You can list events up to a year before they take place and you can list as many events as you like. No need to delete your event listing as once the event date has passed it will automatically drop off our system. Included in the basic listing you will be able to upload an image/flyer. If you would like to see your listing in a highlighted box and guaranteed a mention on our social media pages, check the tick box. This only costs £15 and is payable via paypal. You can search by category – to find all events listed in a particular category simply click on the category menu on the left hand side. If you would like to view all the events listed in an area click on the map of Northern Ireland or for a particular date use the calendar facility. In advanced search you can narrow your search by all three as well as entering a key word. If you like the site please tell your friends about it – perhaps you will see an event that may interest someone you know – you can use our "tell a friend" feature. If you see an event you would like to go to but think you may forget about – register to use our online calendar/reminder facility and build your own personal events planner.
