Well good golly gosh, WIWT has gone through quite a number of iterations hasn’t it? I believe this is the sixth version of WIWT, not counting any minor design tweaks along the way. And it was just over six years ago that WIWT was born actually, so how’s that for serendipity? WIWT (or “What I Wore Today”) was started as a simple daily outfit blog on the 1st of January 2010 by Poppy Dinsey (that’s me, FYI, not going to pretend it’s not me writing this) and it grew and grew into something rather lovely: a community of fashion types sharing their outfit choices from all corners of the world. The internet moves quickly though and whilst having two dedicated apps and a snazzy social networking site was INCREDIBLY COOL back in 2012, it became a bit of a technical nightmare to keep on top of. Who knew that fashion blogging would become such a great big ruddy THING eh? So this new WIWT or “WIWT.6” (we’re not going to call it WIWT.6, let’s not make that something we say) is designed to be simpler and a bit more brilliant, taking into account what made WIWT so popular back in the early days but also bringing in the outfits from all of you guys that act as endless fashion inspo. You’ll see my edit of the best looks from Instagram each day on the homepage, then you can get your own looks featured simply by tagging your outfit shots as #WIWTpickme. There’ll also be shopping content and blog posts, because that was one thing people kept telling me they missed from the last version: BLOGGING. I’m really looking forward to bombarding you with my fashion-y words again. And I can only hope I don’t bankrupt you in the process. If you used to upload outfits to “old WIWT” then you’ll already have received an email about the fact the site has been archived, but you can see the old site frozen in time over here. (More info here). Happy outfit stalking! x

Description:

That's a rather snazzy outfit you're wearing, why not show it off to the world? WIWT.com (that's 'What I Wore Today' for those of you sleeping at the back) is the outfit sharing website that allows you to share photos of your outfits and discover new styles, trends, brands and fash-un inspiration. And now the WIWT app is here to ensure you can always carry WIWT.com in your pocket.

Strike a pose, take a photo, tag the photo with the brands you're wearing (and where you are, what you're up to and what kinda mood you're in) and then upload - all from your iPhone.

As well as uploading your own outfits each day, you can browse through the thousands of outfits that other people are wearing from around the world. Stumble across an outfit that's really, really nifty? You can give it a gold star to add it to your favourites folder.

Fall in love with the app? There's even more fab functionality on the website! So be sure to check out http://wiwt.com too. On WIWT.com you can follow the users whose style takes your fancy so you never have to miss their uploads and you can comment on the outfits you love. There are full user profiles where you can see how many followers you have and your current kudos score, top user charts, top brand charts and so much more! You can also get a WIWT widget for your own blog, so everyone can see your outfits and follow you on WIWT.
