The tasks of the BZV Medienhaus as a modern media company are as diverse as never before. And with this the spectrum of services, which, with its extensive range of print and online products, also takes account of the changed media usage of readers, readers and other users.

It all began in 1865 when Albert Limbach and Albert Berglein founded a printing plant in Braunschweig. From today the BZV Medienhaus emerged. In the meantime, the media house has reached about 335 thousand readers * in the entire dissemination area with its six headstones. Since 2007, the BZV Medienhaus has been part of the FUNKE Media Group with its headquarters in Essen, one of the most important media companies in Europe. Through the takeover of the resin courier in the same year, the entry area of ​​the media house now includes the county of Osterode. In October 2014, the BZV Medienhaus moved its location right into the center of Braunschweig - right in the heart of the city, directly on the citizen.

The journey from the daily newspaper to the media house has taken place step by step - and is an ongoing development which always takes place in feedback with readers and users. Accordingly, the range of activities of the media house has expanded widely. For example, in the Braunschweig area, the advertising leaflet "Neue Braunschweiger" appears twice a week. In the Harz region, the "Echo zum Sonntag" and "Harzer Wochenspiegel" ad sheets provide up-to-date information. In addition, the "Salzgitter Stadtgespräch", the "Wolfsburger Stadtgespräch" and the "Helmstedter Stadtgespräch" appear once a week with a total circulation of more than 145 thousand copies.

The publication of special magazines makes it possible to address very specific and precisely defined reading scripts. And thus reaching selected target groups. The magazine "Standort38", the magazine "Studi38" and the living magazine "Exklusive Wohnwelten", are just some of the best examples of high-gloss magazines. Location38 and Studi38 have also recently established themselves online as a network for the region and as a source of information for students.

In the digital segment, the media house has been particularly active in recent years. Since February 2012, all seven local editions of the newspaper have been updated several times a day, under the name of the respective issue on the web. Dialogue and commentary activities ensure an active exchange between readers and users as well as the editorial team. This digitization of the concept of citizen newspaper brings the journalists with the people of the region quickly, uncomplicatedly and in a great way into the conversation.

The BZV Medienhaus is also involved in the trade fair area. We are the organizer of the fair "My Home - Simply Beautiful Life". In addition, the conference center at the new publishing site offers a wide range of opportunities for external and internal events. In addition there are numerous other services for readers and users, such as the ticket service of the concert hall, selected reader travels and the offers of the reader shop.

The company is expanding its multimedial services to the people of the region year after year. The traditional market sections from the newspaper were extended to the world wide web: the automotive market on the platform auto38.de, the real estate market on immo38.de, the job market for the region on job38.de and the private classified ads market at flohmarkt38.de. Under the umbrella of the 38-portals, you will find a wide range of offers for different target groups - Prospekt38 for bargain hunters, Flirt38 and Spotted38 for singles on search partners, scene38 for entrepreneurs and many more.

The dialogue with the citizens is not only concentrated in the newspapers and on the news portals, but the 38s family is also stirring with the portals Unser38 (the blog for the region) and Alarm38 (the exciters in the region) with the people Contact.

Commitment to the honorary office as well as citizenship - both play a prominent role in corporate responsibility for society. To this end, the editorial offices of the daily newspaper, together with the Foundation of the "Joint Prize", have created a framework that provides impetus for citizenship.

The cultural development in the region is also important to the BZV Medienhaus. This includes the continuous promotion of the reading and language competence of children and adolescents through the "School + Newspaper" project. In addition, trainees are to expand their general knowledge in the media education education program "Zukunft bilden" and acquire important skills and qualifications for their later professional life. Last but not least, the Medienhaus is looking forward to working with individual foundations in the region, and to repeatedly take over media partnerships for cultural events.
