I’ve always enjoyed telling tall-tales, stories, sharing (you know, gossiping), cooking, eating, more eating and cooking (and eating), and spending time with others that enjoy doing the same. When I’m not cooking or getting creative, I’m busy working on Native content for POPSUGAR. I’ve been featured on theMotherboard, BlogHer, Yahoo! Shine, BabyZone, Parents.com, and have been interviewed for the Chicago Tribune. My turkey tortilla sushi recipe got me to the final three in a Hidden Valley Ranch/Food Network competition (but I didn’t win…), BBC Food liked my mango lemon marmalade enough to highlight it, and Oprah thinks my outdoor teepee is great outdoor fun for families. I’ve also been on national TV. Seriously. FOX News My real stats: I am a teacher at heart and have a degree in Art Education with over 10 years of teaching experience. I was that preschool teacher that told you what was up with your kid (whether you liked it or not) and the art teacher that had students do the super-messiest projects in high school – and also encouraged them to think outside the box. I’m a bit chaotic, foul-mouthed at times, enjoy having a good time, and love chocolate. Seriously. I love chocolate. Along with being a parent, I am ceramic artist, wife to a photographer, daughter to awesome parents, and sister to an amazing woman.
