In 1995, before any other automotive website existed, Autobytel pioneered online car buying and has grown to become one of the most influential automotive consumer websites today. Since its launch, Autobytel has also received numerous industry accolades for providing high quality leads and a full range of marketing services to dealers and manufacturers. In 1997, Autobytel was the first Internet company to advertise on the Super Bowl and in 1999, became the 7th most recognized e-commerce brand in the United States. In 1999, Autobytel also became a publicly traded company (Nasdaq: ABTL). More recently, the Autobytel YouTube Channel reached 10 million views from 2010 to 2011 and has since garnered a staggering 40 million views and counting.
