Ad Monetization & Mediation
Whatever the market will pay.
Usually, I don't bother writing reviews but since this company has two reviews from unhappy customers, I figured I would add my positive review to the mix. If you are a small publisher as I am you will actually feel the love. The support is outstanding. Send an e-mail you will get a response. The mediation waterfall is simple to understand and to set up and they allow you to use the same network provider more than once for the same placement. This is something many of the big mediation providers don't support and has always increased my revenue with little effort. Integration is very simple and the instructions are easy to follow. Plenty of mediation partners, and small SDK size (maybe not the smallest but there are many that are much larger). Then why did I not give it 5 stars? I wish it had Amazon Ads as a mediation provider, the administration interface is missing important information that I would love to have and MOAT integration would be nice.

Gave Aerserve a shot after receiving multiple contacts from different company reps and finally meeting at a recent conference. The pitch was that branded videos would diversify our ads shown and that the fill rate is real against other companies like Adcolony who the salesperson claimed to be false fill rates. Our video fill rate was a whopping 1% for the first week and I was told that buyers had not seen the inventory so they need more time. 3 weeks in and we are below 1%. I'm left feeling scammed.

Lots of discrepancies between what is promised and what is delivered. Promoted as a video first SSP, video fill rates are on average 1-4% with 5% being considered good by their Account Managers. Banners are a high percentage of revenue generated and even those are only 8-15% fill rates on average. SDK upsell is pushed overly hard, but for iOS is roughly 30MB+ while adding only minor incremental value. Unfortunately, product sold that each ad network could be parsed out to reduce the SDK, but this was not true and is one large clunk of a SDK. Disappointing to say the least.
