Publisher: Dad Loves Movies - Pop Culture from a Pop's Perspective
  • Key Differentiator
So who is this guy and why should I care what he thinks about movies? Good question! My name is Todd Reed and I am a movie addict. (Hello, Todd.) I’m not sure if it was the first movie I ever saw in the theater, but the first movie I ever remember seeing on the big screen was “King Kong”. Apropos, right? It left a huge (pun intended) impression on me, and I have been a voracious consumer of movies ever since. For years, I was the person people called and texted when they had a question about a movie trivia or wanted to see if a movie was worth seeing or renting. In December 2010, after sitting through the remake of “True Grit”, I came home to see if the reviewers I admired had been as disappointed as I was. Almost universally, the reviews were positive; so to vent my frustration, I created a blog, and “Dad Loves Movies” was born. From my experience with blogging, I have also gone on to become a contributor for Examiner.com and also contributed briefly to “We’ve Got This Covered” before deciding to focus on my own blog. You’ll find movie reviews from the “everyman” perspective. I’m a dad, and my kids love movies too, so you’ll also see at the end of each review information to help you decide whether a movie is appropriate for children. In addition to movie reviews, you’ll find weekly columns such as Sunday Bloody Sunday (horror films), Bad Movie Monday, Wayback Wednesday (classic films), Family Fridays, and DVD recommendations. I through in the occasional trailer and movie news, too. You’ll also get weekly updates about new movies in theaters and Redbox machines. Also on this page you’ll find reviews from my son Z. He’s ten, and he sat through his first movie when he was two weeks old. It was Lilo & Stitch. He says he doesn’t remember seeing it. Go figure! So if you want to know if you child might like a movie, his reviews will give you that perspective. Dad Loves Movies has worked with Level 33 Entertainment to give away movies, but all opinions are my own. The advertising on the page helps me manage my server costs, so if you’d like to place an ad or have a movie or DVD reviewed, contact me.
