My friend Bobbie just posted her own “ABC’s of Me” post and I thought I would do the same! It’s a new year and a really fun way for you all to learn a bit more about me! The ABC’s of ME! A is for animals. Something my daughter loves so very much! For a very long time now (we’re talking years), Bella has told us that she wants to work with animals; specifically, penguins. I really hope she follows that dream! B is for Beverly Hills 90210. Yes I realize that is very 1990′s, but I love the reruns so much! I can never get enough of Brandon, Steve, Dylan, David, Kelly, Donna or Valerie. In fact, I have 30 episodes on my DVR right now! C is for coloring. Did you know that they make adult coloring books? Now you do! Check it out HERE. This past summer when my kids were in Florida with my parents and my husband was out of town for work and I was home with pneumonia, I spent some time coloring. It’s relaxing! D is for Dan, my husband. I think when we first got together, people were surprised that we got engaged so quickly (after 10 months of dating), but I felt then the same that I feel now…you just know. Sure we’ve had our ups and downs, every relationship does, but at the end of the day, we both love each other and our family means everything to us. E is for Eclectically Yours. This is the name of a store I said I was going to open some day. A store that would have a ton of different, random things that people couldn’t find other places. It would have to be opened up in a small town (definitely not where we live). We’ll see! F is for family, the most important people to me. The last two weeks were my most favorite two weeks of 2012. My husband was home and my little family of four spent a lot of time together. I can’t wait until the next time we can have an extended period of time together like that. G is for gorillas…my favorite animal at the zoo! I went to the Toledo Zoo once and the gorilla was staring at the glass and all of a sudden he balled up his fist and banged on the glass, scaring everyone. But I still love gorillas! H is for home. I’m a homebody. While I like to go, sometimes, I much prefer to stay in with my husband and kids. One of my favorite things to do is cuddle in bed, all four of us and watch a movie. I is for Isabella, my beautiful daughter that keeps me on my toys. She’s spontaneous, hard headed, and very determined. I guarantee you, she will go very far in life! I just know it! J is for jewelry. I’m not much of a jewelry person, but I really want my wedding wings repaired or replaced. I love my wedding rings and it bothers me beyond belief that Antypas Brothers in Ohio destroyed them. We can go back, but I don’t trust them. So I wait until we can afford to do something about it. I also want diamond earrings. I have to wear gold because I am allergic to everything but gold when it comes to earrings. Don’t tell Dan, but I would be OK with White Topaz or Cubic Zirconium. K is for my Kindle app. I know there are plenty of people that are holding on to real books, but I absolutely LOVE reading on my ipad. I can take it anywhere and it fits nicely into my purse. Not to mention, a lot of the books are free or only $0.99! I just picked up the entire set of Sherlock Holmes novels for my Kindle app for free on Amazon! L is for love. Yes I know that’s cheesy, but I like chick flicks, going out with my husband, getting butterflies in my stomach when I see/kiss him…shoot I made the guy a Date Night Jar for Christmas! You can say it, I’m a hopeless romantic! M is for The Melting Pot. If you haven’t been to this restaurant…you have to go! It’s a great place to go with a significant other or with a group of friends! Dan and I only go on special occasions like our birthday’s, anniversary, etc. We like to get the “Big Night Out” and have all the courses. To prepare for a night at The Melting Pot, you don’t eat for the entire day. No joke! Also, if you tell them that it a special occasion, they will give you a cozy corner table for two! N is for nighttime. Nighttime means bedtime. I love my kids, but I love when they go to bed too. They need their sleep and I need my time where I can just relax and unwind. No cleaning, no laundry…just pure relaxing (and 90210 when my hubby is out of town)! O is for Olgas. Love their unlimited soup, salad and snackers! OK really I just like the snackers…the soup and salad make it seem healthy! P is Paris. I’m not much of a traveler. In fact, I don’t really like to travel and the thought of being on an airplane that long, freaks me out. But like I said, I’m a hopeless romantic and the thought of walking through Paris with Dan, seeing the Eiffel Tower…I just want to do it once. Q is for quietness. I love those moments when I can escape to my room for a bit and it is silent. Doesn’t happen often or last for very long, but when it does…pure bliss! R is for remodeling. I hate it. I will never buy another house that has to be remodeled again. Well unless we have the money to pay someone to do ALL the work. We’ve lived in our house for 9 years and we are still remodeling it. Not fun. S is for Speedway. I am doing the Paleo diet, but I do allow for myself to have a treat a week which is a weekly slurpee…my most favorite thing in the world. Speedway has the best and cheapest slurpees (especially in the summer)! They also have foam cups which keep the slurpees frozen longer. Gotta love it! T is for Time. We never seem to have enough of it. I have to be honest, I am very thankful that my husband has a job. Last year when he didn’t, was horrible. However, I hate that time with my husband is so limited. I miss him, the kids miss him…but he’s working so I can stay home and take care of the kids and for that I am very thankful. U is for understanding. I have the most understanding husband. I called him last night at midnight and woke him from a dead sleep completely freaking out because the sub woofer was making this HORRIBLY LOUD noise and I could not figure out how to turn it off. I was following the cords but there were so many and they were all the same size, shape and color that they were getting mixed up. I was not very nice on the phone. Sure he was kind of snotty back at me, but all in all, he understood that I was freaking out that this was going off, I didn’t know how to make it stop and I had sleeping kids upstairs (who slept through it…which is a mystery to me!). V is for Vegas! I wanted to go to Vegas so bad this past May for our 10 year anniversary. I had things all planned out. But since he was out of work up until March, there was just no way to justify a trip a couple months later. He said we would go this year for our 11th anniversary, but I told him I wanted to wait until our 13th anniversary…lucky 13?!? W is for writing. It’s always been a little pipe dream of mine to write a book and have it published some day. I’ll get there! I have tons of ideas. I just need to focus and get it done! X is for Xanax. I don’t take it regularly…once or twice a month, but I am very happy I have it when I need it. I don’t know if any of you have ever had a panic attack that spiraled out of control, but it is the absolutely worst thing to be sitting there, trying to calm down, but everything you do just makes it worse. Y is for YOU, my readers! Without you, I would just be talking to myself! So thank you! And please, if there are any reviews you would like to see, anything you would like me to write about, just leave me a comment or send me an email (contact me tab!) and I would be more than happy to work on it! Z is for Zachary…my first born. He keeps me on my toes, his happy more times than not and he has a smile on his face that could melt your heart. His dream is to be a video game developer. “Why not get paid to play video games all day”…can’t blame him! Well, there you have it! These are the ABC’s of Me! Maybe in a few years I will revisit this list and see if anything has changed. Leave me a comment! I’d love to hear what you think and if you are a blogger too, fill out your own and link me to it…I’d love to see it!
