    Launched for the first time in August 2006, HalfMarathons.Net is the brainchild of Terrell Johnson, an Atlanta-based writer and runner who had been searching for some time for a site that collected all of the information available on the Web specifically about half-marathon races only. As a runner for several years — by that time, I’d run three full marathons, several 10K races, a triathlon and my first half-marathon in 2007 — I could find plenty of information about half marathon events, but only after looking across quite a large number of websites. This is my attempt to put it all in one place for users just like me, who are looking to learn more specifically about this increasingly popular event and where they can take part in it.
