KBTX-TV 3 is the CBS television network affiliate located in Bryan/College Station, Texas. It airs on digital UHF Channel 50 and is owned by Gray Television. It is a sister station to KWTX-TV in Waco. Its transmitter is located in Carlos, Texas; while its studios are located on East 29th Street in Bryan. Some internal operations are handled at KWTX-TV's studios on American Plaza in Waco.

KBTX broadcasts on cable systems—including on Suddenlink channel 5 -- and on DirecTV and Dish Network.
KBTX also offers The CW programming on its digital feed. Prior to the September 2006 merger of The WB and UPN, KBTX offered UPN programming on digital. Following the merger, CW Texas was launched as a joint effort between KBTX and KWTX. On August 8, 2012, CW Texas became CW8 Aggieland, which carries programming from The CW, as well as a variety of local sports offerings and many syndicated shows.

KBTX-TV falls under the "KBTX Media" banner, which also includes CW8 Aggieland, KBTX.com, MyCW8.com and MobileKBTX.com.

This app need to be updated.

It crashes a lot in iphone 5 and needs to be updated for iphone 5's bigger screen.

Fix the crashes

This is a good app once you figure out why it crashes. The programmers decided to set up the app to where it needs to update the news every 30 seconds. So if you are scrolling while the app is "updating" the news, it will crash. You can avoid this by not scrolling when the black bar of death pops up at the bottom of the app. Once it's through "updating" you can scroll again. It takes about 5 seconds for it to update. This is a big issue that's been ongoing for months now. I would have thought that this would be fixed by now. This is an easy fix. Besides that, the app isn't bad. Not great, but it gets me the local news quick.

Good news app!

What I need when I need it. Always works for me. I don't know why people say it crashes. Maybe they should update their phone. Great app!

Not good

To many adds, not enough local news, hard to get local sports scores. Really disappointing.

Buggy

Very often, the app shows (null) for stories. The app shows the wrong content for headings when it works, and it crashes a lot. The iPhone app seems less buggy, and I use that one more.
