Have always struggled with LinkedIn. Sponsored Stores are a massive improvement in performance over their very limited text offerings (Lower character counts than even Adwords / Twitter!). Ability to target to very specific job titles and industries is their strong suit. Have run recruiting campaigns around sponsored content that have performed well with $20-$50 CPAs, but have also had very poor results with other campaigns I was expecting more from. They need to roll out some additional features like custom audience targeting, native conversion tracking etc. to be more competitive though.
