    The mobilita.org project was born in 2008 in Palermo by a group of young people who, collaborating through the web, decided to combine their resources to build a reality that could protect and promote those interventions aimed at improving the quality of life in the territory And support its economic and infrastructural development. This has come together in the structuring of a network through which the citizen's role is promoted as an integral part of an intelligent network that debates and proposes effective solutions to support the territory. The informal group formed an association in 2010, having assumed authority over urban issues, finding feedback in the interest of ordinary citizens, media, institutions and professional figures. So many initiatives of these years: Organization of public conferences also broadcast on live web, through which a constructive debate between citizens and institutions was promoted, stimulating participation, correct information and propositiveness. Organization of playful cultural events Participation in technical tables with the Municipality for the identification of effective solutions for sustainable mobility in the urban context. Battles for overcoming architectural barriers, restoring urban decor, legality, and overall improvement in quality of life. Constant monitoring of public works. Information campaigns for the elections, with collection of questions from citizenship Participation in European design announcements, with the award of funding through the submission of projects in the field of sustainable mobility In 2013 Mobilita Palermo is included in the national vademecum for smart cities drawn up by the ANCI (National Association of Italian Municipalities) as a proposer subject . Mobilita.org operates on two fronts: the web site, which is purely informative and propositional, aims to lay the foundations for a viral cultural change, and the participatory side, aimed at involving citizens and institutions in a project that converges in 'common interest.
