I started this blog to document my life after college, mostly to share the recipes I baked on the weekends. I was in my mid-twenties, working in finance, and felt a little lost in both my career and my life. I tapped into my many, many, MANY memories being in the kitchen when I was younger, picked up a camera (taught myself how to use it!), and the rest is history.
A year and a half after launching my blog, I quit my full time job to build Sally’s Baking Addiction into a business. Since then, I’ve published two cookbooks (this one and this one!). My cookbook and blog recipes are classic and approachable, inspired by my favorite seasonal flavors and recipes passed down in my family. I also enjoy writing informational posts about different baking techniques and how to use proper ingredients to achieve the best results. I share my recipe fails and triumphs so readers can learn along the way with me.
My goal is to help readers feel like are a master in the kitchen!
And, more importantly, I want everyone to enjoy the experience of making really really good desserts. In butter and chocolate, we unite!

- Key DifferentiatorIn addition to baking, I love to take pictures and I love to write. Starting a food blog was inevitable. What began as a simple way to share all of my recipes with friends and family has developed into my full time job. Sally’s Baking Addiction was born in December 2011. For more information about how I began my blog and the different techniques I use, please browse my posts on the subject of blogging. My website is a fun, friendly place for readers to find their passion to bake. It’s all about original, innovative recipes that are approachable for novice and experienced bakers. I am a self-taught baker, learning purely through my experiences. I provide informational posts about different baking techniques and how to use proper ingredients to achieve the best results. The website is focused on the recipes and the science behind certain foods and baking techniques. I share my recipe fails and triumphs with readers so that they may learn along the way with me. I want everyone reading to feel like they can be a master in the kitchen! The recipes on Sally’s Baking Addiction are mostly all developed by myself. I bake through trial and error, testing recipe after recipe to find the perfect result to share with others. My readers will only get the best of the best.
